John McInroe would definitely give this a “you cannot be serious!” But the San Francisco Giants are as serious as a heart attack. Pablo Sandoval Chia Pets. May 16th. If this doesn’t sell out AT&T Park, nothing ever will.
This has to be the greatest and weirdest and sickest and coolest stadium giveaway ever. A Kung Fu Panda Chia Pet?! YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS!
Forget bobbleheads. The San Francisco Giants are stepping up with giveaway game with Pablo Sandoval Chia Pets that they will be giving young fans at an upcoming game on May 16. How cool is that? Answer: pretty cool. The team has apparently partnered with the makers of Chia Pets to create a bust of their third baseman's head that grows grass instead of hair. To promote the game...

The struggling veteran Aubrey Huff has been placed on the 15-day DL. Andrew Baggarly of CSNBayArea.com says he heard back in spring training that Huff’s wife had filed for a divorce. I really don’t want to get much into his personal life, but that could be a factor in Huff’s anxiety. He’s expected to join the team in San Francisco tomorrow (Friday).

San Francisco Giants first baseman-outfielder Aubrey Huff released a statement on Friday addressing his stint on the disabled list for anxiety. Huff was placed on the 15-day DL on Wednesday to deal with an anxiety attack he had earlier in the week. "Thank you to the fans, media and Giants organization for the outpouring of support during this very difficult week," Huff...
Giants second baseman Freddy Sanchez made repairs on his uniform pants as he discussed his latest setback since recovering from shoulder surgery last August.
Sanchez said Friday he felt a strain in his shoulder during pre-game warmups earlier this week with the Giants' Class-A affiliate in San Jose. He was scheduled to play second base Thursday but was moved to designated hitter...
The Giants ended their series winning streak with a 1-2 series against the Reds but it could have been much worse had it not been for Angel Pagan who hit a breaking ball out in the top of the ninth to turn a 2 run deficit into a Giants lead. The road trip overall was above .500 and the Giants return home for a nine game home stand after playing 13 road games of their first...
The San Francisco Giants sent right-handed pitcher Eric Hacker to Class AAA Fresno after taking a 5-3 loss to the visiting San Diego Padres on Friday night. San Francisco recalled reliever Steve Edlefsen from Fresno on Saturday morning, according to CSN Bay Area. Hacker was brought up to make one start so the rest of the staff could have its regular rest. Tim Lincecum, today...
Two years ago, the Giants won the World Series and believed a red thong had a lot to do with it. For those who are unfamiliar with the history of San Francisco’s “rally thong,” it was discovered by Aubrey Huff during one of the worst slumps of his career. You can read the lingerie’s full background here, and see some pictures of Huff flaunting it at the Giants World Series...

Huff released the following statement toCSNBayArea.com:

After Tim Lincecum singled to break up Anthony Bass’ perfect game, we knew that all bets were off. It’s like when you’re watching a movie, and you while everything may be a little weird, it hasn’t quite crossed over into the realm of “supernatural.” People are moving and doing crazy things, but you could probably close your eyes and just pretend that somebody really could...

On some day late in Spring or early in the regular season (sooooo lazy), Julian (@GiantsNirvana) tweeted something that looked like this:
“On a scale of 1-10, the amount I’m worried about Angel Pagan: 0”
Julian’s faith restored my own, reminding me that Angel Pagan has started slowly before and would be just fine as the Giants’ starting center fielder. Fine, indeed.

The first two games of the Cincinnati series were quite frustrating...
Well this was a game that had a little bit of everything. The Giants went down 2-0 early only to come back and score two runs of their own. Then they went down 4-2 and scratched and clawed to get back within one run. Then Scott Rolen, he of the sub-Mendoza Line batting average in late April homered for the second time in the series and things felt like they’d been Cincinnati’d...

If you haven’t been to AT&T Park yet, prepare to be bombarded. I appreciate that the team needs money to pay Cain, Lincecum and all the others, but wow, they really sold everything but the kitchen sinks. I’m going to miss some of the basball-related quotes that used to be painted on the walls of the park, now covered by billboards.
If you were expecting some kind of...
