Welp, it finally happened. The city of San Jose on Tuesday at last grew a set and initiated litigation in an attempt to force a decision from MLB on the A’s potential move to the city.
However, rather than bringing the lawsuit against the Giants, which was previously discussed, San Jose is suing Major League Baseball. Either way, the suit challenges the Giants’ (legal) stranglehold over the South Bay territory, which the team refuses to relinquish to the A’s and MLB has supported via a lack of intervention.
