Freddy Sanchez, the Pirates' No. 2 hitter with Nyjer Morgan traded earlier in the afternoon to Washington, went 3 for 3 and drove in two runs while Ross Ohlendorf tossed seven shut-out innings and struck out a career-high eight tonight as the Pirates defeated the Chicago Cubs, 3-0, before 17,054 inside PNC Park.
