It was another big win last night for the San Francisco Giants (lets be real, every win is a big win here on out). It started out with a monster shot, 3-run homer off the bat of outfielder Hunter Pence. That’s Pence’s 2nd homer in a Giants uniform. He’s currently hitting .219 in the orange and black. Let’s hope that average continues to go up! The man with the master plan in August is infielder Joaquin Arias. He’s been smoking hot in August and is hitting .426 for the month. I hope he’s not superstitious and doesn’t change his approach at the plate come September 1st.All Star catcher Buster Posey has been the hottest hitter in the Majors since the All Star break. He’s hitting .392 during this span. There isn’t very many games left this year, so let’s hope the Giants are done with this platoon catching role for Barry Zito and Tim Lincecum.
