Mark Feinsand of the New York Daily News says (via Twitter) his source tells him that Ichiro Suzuki had a two-year, $15 million offer from a team believed to be the San Francisco Giants. However, Ichiro is willing to take less (two-years, $13 million) to stay with the Yankees.
The Giants do not appear to be any closer to signing Brian Wilson says Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle (via Twitter).
“They assume he’s going to examine all outside options before he seriously considers a return,” says Schulman.
Janie McCauley of Associated Press reports (via Twitter) that the Giants and right-hander Chad Gaudin have reached agreement on a minor league deal. Gaudin pitched in 46 games for the Marlins in 2012, and posted a 4.54 ERA.
Jerry Crasnick of ESPN.com says (via Twitter) free agent pitcher Chad Durbin is traveling to California today to meet with a couple of unnamed clubs. In a followup tweet, Crasnick says the Giants could be in the market for veteran relief help.
