It’s time to get everyone caught up on what happened over the weekend, or since the last post on Friday.   Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports says the San Francisco Giants have expressed interest in bringing Mark DeRosa back.   DeRosa is great clubhouse guy, and a healthy DeRosa would be a nice utility player. I would bring him back if he came back on a Pat Burrell kind of a deal (1-year, $1 million). Fans on SF Giants Rumors Facebook page are ready to see the Giants move on, and pass on DeRosa. He signed a two-year, $12 million deal with the Giants. DeRosa was pretty much hurt the entire contract. DeRosa played 73 games for the Giants in two years. He’s hit .235 with 1 homer and 22 RBI in his Giants tenure. Geoff Baker of The Seattle Times says the Mariners signed outfielder Darren Ford to a minor league contract and he’s also getting a spring training invite.
