Here is a rumor that I thought I would pass along. I’m not sure how much credibility there really is to this rumor, but figured I would let you decide for yourself. Frank Russo of Mike Silva’s NY Baseball Digest says the Yankees recently contacted the San Francisco Giants and offered four players for pitcher Matt Cain. Some of the names tossed around were Jesus Montero, Nick Swisher and some minor league players. Once again I’m not sure how credible this site is, but fans that leave comments on that site seem to believe them, and say another major source will probably drop this same story shortly. Just thought I would pass it along to you. Mychael Urban says on his site (Urbs Unchained) that a reliable source told him that the Giants have had discussions with right-hander Ryan Vogelsong‘s camp regarding a contract for 2012 – and beyond.
