That isn't an easy question. Much can change between now and the end of the month, when the deadline hits. Shouldn't where the Rangers are in the standings make a difference? If you look at the schedules of the Angels, Rangers and Mariners, it isn't a stretch to assume Texas could be 6 or more back by July 31, is it? Rangers face Boston for three, at Kansas City for three, then three against Detroit and two against Seattle before the end of the month. Outside of the trip to Kansas City, that's a tough stretch. So if the Rangers are 6 games back (in the division and the wild card), should they still make a major move? Would Roy Halladay waive his no-trade clause to come to a team that was that far behind at the deadline? Should the Rangers give up major pieces of their farm system, even if it means getting a player that is here through 2010?
