Skip Bayless accused Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter of using PEDs on Wednesday's "First Take." Yes, the guy we expect to take off-the-wall shots at athletes did exactly what we expected of him.

But did Bayless finally cross that line between having insider knowledge and breaking a potential news story or just plain crazy talk? If you're a Yankees fan, you might be incensed that Bayless went after ya boy. They don't call Jeter "The Captain" for nothing. Here is a guy that signed a contract in the twilight of his career that many people thought was a bit much for someone his age, and now he's having a potential MVP season.

But did Jeter suddenly put on 25 pounds of muscle? Is he cranking 40 home runs? No and no.

For Bayless to even insinuate that Jeter is taking PEDs is wreckless and he should be immediately suspended by ESPN. But that will never happen. Bayless is the "First Take" meal ticket. People watch "First Take" just to see what Crazy Skip is going to say today.

At least Jeter had a good come back to Bayless.
"That's the unfortunate thing these days," he said. "Anytime you bring this to light with guys that are doing things now, you have everybody questioning everything. You can say whatever you want to say these days. No repercussions."
No repercussions? He couldn't be more right.
