The Dodgers have acquired OF Shane Victorino from the Phillies for propect Ethan Martin and relief pitcher Josh Lindblom, sources have confirmed to FOXSports.com
Victorino, a two-time All-Star, is batting .261 with 9 home runs and 40 RBI this season.
The Dodgers remain focused on acquiring Cubs starting pitcher Ryan Dempster and want him even if they add another pitcher, sources say. The team is also looking at hitters, one rival official said.
Ethan Martin's name had come up in the Dodgers talks with the Cubs on Dempster, a source says.
A source said the Dodgers "were really hunkered down last night," saying "Damn the money. Make the club better."
Sources the Dodgers have worked on two "massive" deals over last several days, both of which are now less likely.
The Dodgers previously acquired infielder Hanley Ramirez from the Marlins and relief pitcher Brandon League from the Mariners.
