Albert Pujols may not be a Miami Marlin by the time he wakes up Wednesday morning. But the team expects a resolution to its bid to sign Pujols, one way or the other, in the next few hours, sources told ESPN.com Tuesday night.

The most compelling question of the baseball offseason -- Where is Albert Pujols going to sign? -- isn't nearly as straightforward as it seemed.
Sources told FOXSports.com on Wednesday evening that the Los Angeles Angels, a team barely mentioned as a possible suitor until the past 24 hours, were engaged in a lengthy set of negotiations with Pujols' agent, Dan Lozano.
DALLAS –– There were no plans for the Red Sox to partake in the Albert Pujols free-agent frenzy. We’ll see. If they do though, I sure as hell better be prepared to give the some good nuggets. They’ll...
