sports.espn.go.com:
ESPN is reporting that the Red Sox have made a $8 million a year offer to Daisuke Matsuzaka. There is a big gap between this number and the numbers agent Scott Boras has asked for. Theo Epstein has basically said Matsuzaka can take the offer or go back to Japan. If this is the final offer, cheers to the Red Sox for stepping up to Boras. But I have a feeling this won't be the last offer they make.
