The Toronto Blue Jays offense continues to be highlighted by impressive players who have been called up from Triple-A Buffalo, and Spencer Horwitz joins this list. Horwitz rejoined the big leagues on Friday, September 1st, and this has been the second time he’s been called up this season. Horwitz joins players such as Davis Schneider and Ernie Clement, who have been lighting up their offense in the late second half of the regular season. Seeing these young guys stepping it up has been refreshing and a breath of fresh air. And we know that the call-ups will continue. Addison Barger will be next to join, and he’s been another player tearing up Triple-A Buffalo. Toronto’s prospects continue to highlight success, and it’s been a nice change of scenery in terms of offensive power.

Spencer Horwitz Another Triple-A Offensive Sparkplug

Hitter No Quitter

Horwitz is already like a veteran hitter, and it’s no surprise. It was quite a day for the young man as he earned three hits in Sunday afternoon’s game against the Colorado Rockies. He also made his first major league home run, which was more than memorable for Horwitz. Horwitz joins the youngsters on the Jays, who demonstrate quality at-bats and clean swings that have left fans cheering with the utmost joy. But Horwitz has shown consistency for the team even through a small sample size in the majors. In his major league debut with the Jays this season (June 18th), he recorded his first MLB RBI against the Texas Rangers.

When it comes to Blue Jays fans, we know how they love to travel, and we’ve witnessed the loud “Let’s Go Blue Jays” chants in the stands. This was very much apparent in the Rockies series. Overall, the Triple-A stardom continues to lend more than a helping hand in more ways than we can think. Again and again, it has been frustrating with the number of injuries that the Jays roster has faced this season. So, having these young players coming in to clean up the mess has been a relief.

On-Base Less Chase

Spencer’s ability to get on base and his discipline at the plate has been a sight for sore eyes. If he’s not getting a base hit, he’s drawing walks, which speaks for itself. When a player can maintain that focus and competitiveness to do whatever it takes to get on base and help their team win, then it’s money in the bank. These Triple-A players have showcased astonishing hitting with two strikes, two-outs, and crisp swings that have dominated from the hole between first and second base.

Runs have been a rollercoaster ride for the Jays this season as they have appeared and disappeared all season. But with Triple-A players like Horwitz, whose approach at the plate has been phenomenal, it showcases how hard they work to come out big for the Jays in various ways. They’ve battled, and while there is still more work to be done, watching the Jays top prospects continue to hack away and shine bright like the sun even when it rains will be exciting.

Triple-A Better Than Okay!

Thank goodness the Jays minor leaguers are sustaining the long-dead dream alive for Jays fans. The Jay’s chances of making the playoffs look more probable with these Triple-A youngsters. Horwitz has represented stellar at-bats along with many other Triple-A players. They’ve made hitting look easy and contagious. Usually, the regular everyday guys would teach these minor leaguers a thing or two. But it’s been quite the opposite in terms of offense. Without these youngsters, who knows if the Jays would have been able to earn a series win against the Rockies? If these Triple-A sensations can continue to sweep up the offense, it will be electric and quite a story for the Jays 2023 season.
