The Yankees roster continues to shrink. They cut three players on Saturday and then six more on Sunday as the roster now sits at just 40 players.
Ramiro Pena was optioned to Triple-A and RHP’s Manny Delcarmen and Kevin Whelan, C Jose Gil, and OF’s Colin Curtis and Cole Garner were reassigned to the minor league camp, according to Anthony McCarron of the NY Daily News.

I have narrowed it down to three or four possibilities based on what I believe the 2012 Opening Day rotation should be, which in order is Sabathia, Kuroda, Pineda, Nova and Hughes.

Last season was a train wreck of a season for Phil Hughes and if the Yankees rotation were based solely on last year’s stats he would be on the outside looking in.
