There's a lot to love about the CHL's Dayton Gems.
For starters, they hosted a Jerry "The King" Lawler Night in February, honoring Andy Kaufman's arch nemesis and wrestling legend.
Then, in May -- inspired by our post -- they announced a "Beer League Hockey Night" where the team will wear the jersey of San Antonio, Texas recreational team "Rut Hockey" during a CHL match on Jan. 7.
Oh, and they're also doing an Angry Birds Night for all you smartphone addicts out there.
So as you can see, the Gems get what minor league sports are all about and are quick to jump on top of something that's hot in the mainstream.
With that, after ESPN broadcast their long-awaited "30 for 30" documentary on Steve Bartman, the Chicago Cubs fan who interfered with a foul ball during the 2003 National League Championship Series, the Gems decided to honor the much-reviled fan from The Windy City.
