  • Boston Dirt Dogs reported that former Red Sox Infielder Lou Merloni Says that the Sox brought in a doctor to speak to the players about the right way to use steroids. NOTE: This was before the new owners took over and before Theo Epstein was GM. Merloni Didn't Mention the Year the Doc Addressed the Sox But Things That Make You Go Hmmm...   • Bill Madden of the Daily News decided to write an open letter to George Steinbrenner pointing out many of the problems with the new place, and suggestions on how to fix it. Lonn Trost was to blame for.
  • Johnny Damon was named AL's player of the week. Damon led the Major Leagues last week with five home runs and 15 RBIs in seven games, while hitting .419. His 1.032 slugging percentage, built on at least one extra-base hit in each of the seven games, was tops in the AL. Today in the Daily News we've heard that Damon is still receiving treatment for an injury he sustained when he slammed into the Green Monster in Fenway park a few weeks ago and keeps hitting through the pain.
  • According to Peter Abraham, Roger Clemens will be appearing on ESPN radio's Mike & Mike tomorrow morning at 8:25 a.m. ESPN radio is 1050 AM in New York. It will be Clemens' first interview since January.
