After every series, we'll take stock of how each individual and group performance affects their overall value.

Jacoby Ellsbury: Jacoby started the series off well, then began to have trouble getting on base. Reaching base 4 times and crossing the plate once is awful from the lead-off hitter when going up against a team like Texas.

Carl Crawford: No matter where he hit in the lineup, Carl couldn't do a damn thing.  He couldn't even draw a damn walk to make something happen on the bases.

Dustin Pedroia: Not the best series, but 3 hits in game 1 and a solo homer in the final game was a great sign that Pedey can continue to play through the thumb injury.

Adrian Gonzalez: Everything Gonzo showed up in the last week disappeared in the Rangers series. The best he could do was a single in game 2? Awful.

Cody Ross: We all knew the ridiculous power show would not be a long-term thing, but any other production of runs would do just fine. He obviously didn't do any of that.

Will Middlebrooks: The only guy that showed up at the plate for the entire series. It has been a while since we have seen a 6-for-12 (or better) series from Middlebrooks. The homer was nice too.

Kelly Shoppach: An unusual series where Shoppach did a bulk of the catching and a coinciding mediocre performance. He followed a decent game 2 with an awful 3-strikeout game 3. Typical Shoppach.

Mike Aviles: It looked as if he was picking up the pace going into the Rangers series, but we were fooled.

Pedro Ciriaco: One good game, one not-so-game. Pedro's value didn't change much in the series.

The Bench: It only consisted of Salty and Sweeney and I am over-looking Ryan's 0-for-4. Salty's only start was a good one, going 2-for-4, with a homer to deep center. He mad a brief appearance in game 2 where he drew a walk in the 9th.

Starting Pitching

Clay Buchholz proved that he is by far the ace of this staff. His performance wasn't enough to balance out the shit that Doubront and Beckett dished out.

We saw the best pitching from the pen in game 2 where Padilla and Aceves combined from 2 scoreless.  Melancon looked good in the first game, but the combo of Albers and Morales was awful and those two appearances are the primary contributors to the drop in value.

As previously stated, they all go down together.

Everyone sucked. The pitching sucked. The Offense sucked, The defense sucked (4 errors), and coaching sucked.  I mean, they were the suckiest bunch of sucks that ever sucked, they just plain sucked.
