Curtis Granderson returned to the lineup last night and went 0-for-3 with a run scored and a big walk in the Yankees’ seventh inning rally. His presence represented a somewhat return to normalcy in the lineup. Now, it seems as if first baseman Mark Teixeira will return soon. According to beat writer Bryan Hoch, Teixeira said yesterday that his “rehab is going great” and that Teixeira expects to be playing in big league games before June 1. When he returns, it will be very interesting to see what the team does with Lyle Overbay, who has gotten some big hits this season. The Yankees may end up having too many guys and not enough roster spots, meaning that Overbay would be the odd man out. Teixeira has been sidelined since spring training with a partially torn tendon sheath in his wrist. Should he continue to have no setbacks, his return before June 1 seems reasonable. Yankees: Teixeira causing an Overbay problem

Harry and...
