I always tried to do the best I could for the Red Sox all the time. Terry Francona, Boston's former manager from 2004-2011, released a book yesterday called "The Red Sox Years." Calling them "the funnest years of my life", Francona will dig deep into the ups and downs of 8 seasons that brought Boston two World Series Championships. In an interview with ESPN, Francona mentioned that the book will share information about his views on the Red Sox Front Office and how they cared more about marketing than winning. The book will also share some insight into the meeting Francona had with management in October 2011 that eventually led to his release. "The Red Sox Years" sounds like a must have for any Sox fan, and while it does not sound that a lot of insider dirt will be released in this book, I am sure there will be many great stories shared about the legacy that broke the 86 year curse. One great story in the book that has been released is about the popular, and aloof, Manny Ramirez. ...
