Reno 14 Las Vegas 6It was another rough day for the 51s on the bump. Starter TJ Beam allowed eight runs in five innings. Rommie Lewis and Brian Wolfe then each allowed three runs. Sean Stidfole had a nice outing with no runs allowed in 1.1 innings. Buck Coats led the offense with three hits, which was equalled by Kevin Howard. JP Arencibia had two hits and a homer. Brian Dopirak went 1-for-3 with two walks.New Hampshire 7 Portland 6The Red Sox affiliate gave it a go in the ninth with two runs scored, but Dan Farquhar held on. The righty closer allowed two runs in the ninth but also struck out the side. Adrian Martin started the game and went just 1.2 innings (two runs allowed). Trystan Magnuson had another nice double-A outing with no runs allowed in 2.2 innings. Tim Collins was roughed up again at the double-A level with two runs allowed in 2.1 innings.
