Angel Pagan is excited. And damnit, he should be. Bruce Bochy gave the ball to Barry Zito yesterday, and He did his best to throw the game away (Although Bruce can now claim that the Giants have won Zito's last 12 starts when he calls upon him for the next elimination game). In the fourth inning after Jose Mijares struck out Joey Votto, Bochy brought in The Freak. Lincecum came in and promptly struck out Ryan Ludwick to end the fourth, then would pitch four more innings, striking out six and allowing only one run. Looks like someone felt like they had a point to make. But Pagan isn't excited because of Tim's performance He's happy about Timmy's availability. When asked after the game yesterday if he would be available for game five, Tim had this to say:Your browser does not support iframes. That's right baby. Timmy knows what is on the line. And like a good soldier, he is ready to contribute in any way possible. And with Tim all of a sudden turning into a light...

San Francisco Giants: Tim Lincecum back to the rotation?

On Wednesday night Tim Lincecum all but saved the San Francisco Giants’ season by tossing 4.1 innings of relief against the Cincinnati Reds, after starter Barry Zito checked out after just 2.2 innings. Lincecum was brilliant and got the win in Game 4 of the NLDS to extend San Francisco’s season after an 8-3 road victory. Now that Lincecum has shown that he can still bring it...

Tim Lincecum Gets Champagne Facial and Says He Knows How Chicks Feel Now (Video)

"Now I know what chicks feel like" is what my man Tim Lincecum said last night when he got a champagne facial after the San Francisco Giants beat the Reds and moved on to the NLDS.  He then dropped a little F bomb at the end of the video to cap it off.  That's why cameras in these kind of moments are the best.  Honestly can't believe we didn't hear anything...

Lincecum is the old Timmy again

Tim Lincecum, reliever. Sounds pretty good after all. Lincecum was demoted to the bullpen for the playoffs because his numbers were worse than Barry Zito's (especially late in the season), but the two-time Cy Young Award winner made a huge impact Wednesday in Game 4 of the National League Division Series. Out of the bullpen, he threw 4 1/3 innings for the win in the Giants...

"This Train" Has A Sense Of Humor

You know damn well that if Angel Pagan was wearing a Mets uniform the ball would have rolled to the wall, everybody on the planet earth would have scored, and Pagan would still be in left center field asking somebody what the fastest route to the ball was. Instead, he's a San Francisco Giant and this ball landed softly in his glove, and the Giants completed their comeback, winning...

Posey's slam lifts Giants to NLCS

Buster Posey came to Cincinnati wondering whether the San Francisco Giants were long for the postseason. Down 2-0 in the best-of-five National League Division Series to the Cincinnati Reds, Posey, a leading candidate for the league's MVP award in his first season back from a serious ankle injury, had been scuffling at the plate with a 3-for-17 start in the first four-plus games...

Lincecum's relief work helps Giants survive

CINCINNATI What was once a monumental advantage for the Cincinnati Reds is now reduced to a sliver of an advantage over the San Francisco Giants. It some would say: "Advantage, San Francisco." That's because momentum is pushing hard behind the Giants after their 8-3 victory over the Reds Wednesday in Grat American Ball Park. The significance. The best-of-five series...

Tim Lincecum got a facial last night, responded with: "Now I know what chicks feel like."

"Now I know what chicks feel like," San Francisco Giants pitcher Tim Lincecum after having celebratory champagne sprayed all over his face and neck following the team's NLDS win over the... Full story at Bob's Blitz ~ http://www.bobsblitz.com

Tweet The Cincinnati Reds and San Francisco Giants are currently playing the deciding game of their best-of-5 series today to advance to the NL championship series. Reds lose at home to Giants, series now 2-2

CINCINNATI (AP) -- Angel Pagan led off the game with a home run, Gregor Blanco and Pablo Sandoval connected later and Tim Lincecum came out of the bullpen to help the San Francisco Giants beat the Cincinnati Reds 8-3 on Wednesday, evening their NL division series at 2-all. The Giants can complete an unprecedented comeback on Thursday. No team has recovered from a 2-0 deficit in...

Suspended Melky Cabrera reinstated

San Francisco outfielder Melky Cabrera has been reinstated by Major League Baseball after serving a 50-game suspension for a positive testosterone test, but he will not be part of the Giants' playoff roster.

Reds season ends with Game 5 loss to Giants

CINCINNATI (AP) -- Buster Posey hit the third grand slam in Giants' postseason history, and San Francisco completed its startling comeback by holding off the Cincinnati Reds 6-4 Thursday in the decisive Game 5 of the NL division series. The Giants won the final three games, all in Cincinnati, and advanced to the NL championship series. They will face either St. Louis or Washington...

Just a few quick thoughts on baseball's Division League Series

Well, the San Francisco Giants are the first of the postseason teams to move on, eliminating the Reds in Game 5. The Washington Nationals are fighting for their lives right now against the Cards, and tonight Baltimore and the Yanks and the A's and Tigers both have match-ups. What I find interesting is that not a single division series was a sweep. Every single one of them has...

Giants beat Reds to advance to NLCS

Buster Posey insisted all along -- even after San Francisco lost the first two at home -- that his team was far from done, no matter how long the odds. Turns out, he was right. And the NL batting champion had a lot to do with this most Giant comeback. Posey hit the third grand slam in Giants postseason history on Thursday, and San Francisco pulled off an unprecedented revival,...

Giants 8, Reds 3

CINCINNATI -- The San Francisco Giants staved off elimination for a second consecutive day, and have forced a decisive Game 5 in the National League Division Series. Angel Pagan, Gregor Blanco and Pablo Sandoval homered on Wednesday, lifting the Giants to an 8-3 victory over the Cincinnati Reds in Game 4 of the division series at Great American Ball Park. Barry Zito lasted...

Romney Supporter Runs On Field Prior To Reds-Giants Game 3

Prior to Game 3 of the Cincinnati Reds and San Francisco Giants matchup in the 2012 NLDS, a Mitt Romney supporter ran onto the field holding a Romney yard-sign.This was an odd incident involving a fan on the field because the man seemed to be middle-aged, judging by his gray hair.  I will give the old dude some credit, he had a couple of sweet juke moves before security tackled...
