The Black Hole

It has been a black hole for the Boston Red Sox for nearly half a decade now. Since the dogpile in St. Louis that wonderful October night five years ago the Red Sox have rolled through shortstops in pretty aggressive fashion. It started with Edgar Renteria and he was followed by Alex Gonzalez, then Julio Lugo, then Jed Lowrie and now Nick Green. One thing they have all had in common is, well, they stunk.Everyone has given their two cents on the subject. There are reasons to still have hope for Lowrie and your pal Freddy has called on a couple of occasions for the Sox to try and acquire J.J. Hardy.
