The Cleveland Indians continued the teams losing streak. The Tribe has now lost their 8th game in a row. The Indians have fallen to 50-57, 7-1/2 games behind the first place team with no ending of their losing streak in sight. The Indians have been terrible since the All-Star break, the teams pitching and hitting has been terrible. Ubaldo Jimenez tried to end the losing streak in Detroit. Jimenez gave up 6 runs on 7 hits. The Indians pitchers have no edge against the teams they are playing and the team has no offense either. The Indians need the team to get refocused on playing baseball. Kipnis,Cabrera, Santana, Lopez,Kotchman and  Hannahan all went hit-less against the Tigers. The Cleveland Indians have to face the Tigers again today before returning home to Progressive field to take on the Twin who swept the Indians to get this 8 game losing streak started. The Indians were 7-2 against the Tigers this season now with the 6-1 lose the Tribe falls to 7-4 against the Tigers. The Indi...

Box Score: Tigers 6, Indians 1

Hot dogs, buns, spider legs, Tribe losses: all things that comes in eights. Doug Fister went the distance and carried a perfect game into the sixth inning as the Tigers struck for more than enough off Ubaldo Jimenez to support their cause as they won the second game of the series 6-1. Fister allowed one run in the ninth inning but permitted just four hits while walking none and striking...

Johnny Damon is looking for a job: Did we blow it by getting Ichiro?

Yesterday, the Indians waived Johnny Damon. The great Johnny Damon. The great Yankee, Johnny Damon. In a perfect world, we would sign him. Correction: In a perfect world, he would have never been stuck in Cleveland. Johnny was hitting .222 with 4 home runs. That's not Johnny Damon. That's Lenn Sakata. It looks like it could be the end. Not only that, but he joins Bobby...

Indians Masterson Joins The Mix Of Cleveland’s Disappointments

Indians disappointing ’12 season is emblematic of a disappointing era: Part 1/5

Follow @ClevelandDTR I’m frustrated.  Really frustrated.  Quite possibly the most frustrated I’ve ever been with the Indians.  That’s saying a lot considering how many disappointing years Indians fans have had to deal with, especially in the last five years. In 2008, the Indians looked like legitimate World Series contenders coming off of a 2007 season where they were only...

Indians Closer Chris Perez Was A Hot Twitter Topic Last Night

By now most people know Indians Closer Chris Perez didn’t have his best outing in Detroit yesterday. Perez came into the Indians game when the Tribe had a 3 run lead over the Tigers in the tenth inning. Perez needed to earn his 30th save to get the Indians off of a 8 game losing streak. It didn’t happen the way Tribe fans would have liked. Perez gave up 5 runs to the Tigers in...

Series Preview: Twins at Indians 8/6 - 8

After a third consecutive sweep, this one to the Detroit Tigers, the Indians postseason hopes have been officially demolished. It will be interesting now to see how Corey Kluber and Chris Seddon pitch for...

Box Score: Tigers 10, Indians 8 (10 inn.)

The losing streak has reached nine, though this one had some serious style points. The Indians against all odds prevented a leadoff triple from ending the game in the bottom of the ninth by intentionally walking Miguel Cabrera and Prince Fielder to load the bases following a strikeout of Omar Infante by Josh Tomlin. A 3-2-3 double play sent the game into extras, where Travis Hafner...
