It’s Friday, we’re eight days from the greatness of Spring Training, the Cubs have three players in another guy’s top 100 prospects, we haven’t signed Cespedes and it looks like Soriano is wearing the blue pinstripes this season 1060 W. Addison.
So, with that said, and with many more things unfurl, let’s get rambling.
•Is it just me, or do you ever sit back and think out loud, “I wonder what Hee-Seop Choi is up to these days?”

Saw a couple interesting tidbits the last few days regarding the Cubs:
The first was an interview that Cubs GM Jed Hoyer did with Carmen, Yurko and Harry on ESPN Chicago. During the interview, Hoyer indicated that he believed that Alfonso Soriano will be will the Cubs come opening day, meaning its unlikely that the Cubs will be able to trade him.

Let me get this out of the way, I’m not an Alfonso Soriano fan. Am I thrilled that he’s still a member of the Cubs? No, but like most loyal fans, I try to rationalize things, and convince myself that things aren’t that bad.

Cubs' GM: Soriano likely starts '12 in Chicago
