A week ago, I speculated on whether or not Alex Rios could rebound from his season long slump.  It might be too early to say for certain, but the last three games have been encouraging.  Rios is currently batting above .500 in the last three games, with numerous extra base hits.  A subtle change in Rios’s stance looks to be what has helped.  If Rios can continue this streak, the White Sox will be ready to make a run for the AL Central crown. Over the last three games, Rios has raised his hands during his at-bats.  This slight change has allowed him to relax the bat before the pitch starts.  It also allows him to cover more of the plate and drive the ball.  The Sox reaped the benefits of this change as Rios had the game winning RBI in tonight’s game.  He also managed to add a double, which is four in the last three games.
