It's common knowledge to every Reds fan that the shortstop position has been the Achilles' heel of the team all season. With the club's offensive woes continuing this weekend against inter-state rival Cleveland, the ineptitude of both Paul Janish and Edgar Renteria have been increasingly magnified. Here's a look at just how bad their combined production has been so far in 2011: They rank dead last in MLB (30th) among shortstops in HR (0), OPS (.531), SLG (.259), and doubles (9). They are 15th in the NL in runs scored (28) & OBP (.272). They are 14th in the league in BA (.225). They are 13th in errors committed (14). If the organization has any hopes of reaching the postseason for a second straight year a shakeup of the current makeup must take place in the immediate future. I propose some form of the shakeup to involve the promotion of Zack Cozart from Triple-A Louisville to help fill the hole at shortstop. Let's take a look at his numbers he'...
