Found July 14, 2013 on The Rhino and Compass:
The Twins had a rough stretch on the road over the past couple of weeks, but as has been noted in the links today, they finished with a bang, taking the last two games against the Yankees. Naturally, today, they sort of blew up the roster. Oswaldo Arcia, Chris Parmelee and Eduardo Escobar, regular players on the team this year, were sent to Rochester. to help get their swings in order. The good news is, this gets other guys a new opportunity to prove their worth at the major league level. Chris Herrmann is back, and I think he has a place in the long term roster. Chris Colabello is also rumored to be back which is cool, because he has been crushing it in AAA. And then, they also called up Doug Bernier. He is 33, and has played 2 major league games. I mean, good for him, of course, but I can’t help but be struck by the fact that he isn’t named Chris. The good news is, Jamey Carroll finally has a buddy!
