Well, it seems Brian Anderson has gotten his wish. According to the Boston Globe, the White Sox have traded Brian Anderson to the Boston Red Sox for Mark Kotsay.
This is a nothing-for-nothing move by both teams. The Red Sox are hoping Anderson finds himself with a new team and the White Sox get some OF depth and a player who can spell Paul Konerko from time to time.

According to Scott Merkin of MLB.com, via MLBTradeRumors.com, Brian Anderson of the Chicago White Sox would like to be traded. Well good for him. But I am going to make a rule right now, and this can go for an athlete in any sport.
If you stink and everyone else thinks you stink—you can’t ask to be traded. That’s my rule and I am sticking to it. It’s like the worst sales guy on your team asking for a promotion. It’s a head scratcher.
