There's NOT Always Next Year

Ever since the Jake was built, along with that team of youngsters (who aren't so young anymore), Cleveland has lived by the philosophy, "There's always next year." Well, I think I can be pretty confident when I say that we all found out the hard way that this wasn't true. The mid-to-late 90's team that centered around Kenny Lofton, Manny Ramirez, Jim Thome, Albert Belle, Charles Nagy, and the rest of those Cleveland legends seemed destined for a Championship. That core stayed together for years, and Jesus, we got close. So, what's different about this team? Won't this core stick around until we can watch fate crush our dreams and laugh at our languished hearts once more?No. It won't. And believe it or not... that's bad.
