KANSAS CITY, MO. George Brett's self-imposed 30-day time limit regarding his tenure as the Royals' hitting coach came and went over the weekend in Minneapolis.
And Brett was still in uniform working on Tuesday as the Royals prepared for a three-game set with the Cleveland Indians.
"I don't know what I'll do," Brett told FOXSportsKansasCity.com Tuesday afternoon. "I didn't realize the 30-day thing was up.
"At some point I'll get with (general manager) Dayton Moore and we'll come up with a decision. But we don't have to do anything now. We'll just keep going day by day."
Brett took over for hitting coaches Jack Maloof and Andre David, who were both reassigned May 30.
Since Brett assumed the role of hitting coach, the Royals are 17-12.
In terms of production, the Royals' offense has not changed dramatically under Brett.
