This Blue Jays Prospect is Tearing It Up in the Arizona Fall League

Palmegiani is joining the growing hype train of Blue Jays prospects. On Friday, he homered, walked, and cashed in two runs to help beat Mesa by a final score of 10-2. The right-handed batter came out strong in his last at-bat in the game and homered off of pitcher Ynior Tur. The ball traveled 407 feet after being hit off a 103 mph fastball. The youngster has been hot in recent games in the Arizona Fall League. He is 9-for-28 in eight games this season in the AFL.

Palmegiani did what good hitters do, fighting to stay alive by fouling off pitches. “Just fight for a pitch that I can handle, and that’s what happened,” he said following his success after the game. We saw Blue Jays hitters do this all season long. George Springer fouled off 13 pitches in an at-bat this year against the Cleveland Guardians. After that, he drove a ball high and deep, crushing a homer in Progressive Field. When the Blue Jays battled at the plate in the 2023 season, it made games much more exciting to watch.

At just 23 years old, Palmegiani has been impressive. It would be fun to see him get a shot at the big-league level.
