That title is not exactly clear, is it? No, not what it would look like if Texas Rangers right-hander Yu Darvish pitched a game while he was taking LSD. The below GIF is what it would look like if someone sat and watched Yu Darvish pitch while they were taking LSD. It’s a near-certainty that Yu Darvish has never considered doing what MLB pitcher Dock Ellis said he had done on June 12, 1970 before took the mound for his no-hitter, when he claimed  afterward that he had dropped acid before the game. All the references to mood-altering and perception-tweaking effects of Lysergic acid diethylamide aside, the below trippy GIF overlaps five pitches from Yu Darvish, illustrating the many different ways the ball dips and moves and slides and shifts after coming out of his hand. Via Lone Star Ball, by way of @MindofStan: Far freaking out, man. Probably could make a person want to throw some Jefferson Airplane or Nine Inch Nails or Pink Floyd or whatever on the Hi-Fi, ya dig? Not that Sportress of Blogitude condones or knows anything about that kind of behavior except for stuff gleaned from watching “ABC After School Specials” and reading Timothy Leary biographies and whatnot.
