The AL East has always been a tough division in which to compete. But this team has stood out. The New York Yankees are the team to beat. It’s been a tight race for the past several seasons. In the offseason, teams spiked up their offensive lineups. However, the New York Yankees are the team to beat in the AL East, with the addition of Juan Soto to their already offensive lineup, along with Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton, and Anthony Rizzo. Rizzo is a strong left-handed hitter, and both Judge and Stanton are known for being power hitters. Soto

This AL East Team Is the Team to Beat

Why The Yankees Are The Team to Beat

It is still early in the season, but the Yankees have gone off to a hot start with Six wins going into Saturday evening’s game against the Toronto Blue Jays. All the teams in the AL East certainly can battle and make games competitive. But the Yankees have gone 6-2 in their last ten, which is right up there with the Boston Red Sox, who also are 6-2 in their previous 10 and have a 6-2 record. But the Yankees have indeed stood out as well with Oswaldo Caberera. The Yankees have a stacked offensive lineup.

The Yankees began the season against their Al East rival, the Houston Astros. They dominated a four-game series and achieved the sweep against them. It was definitely shocking, as the Astros are not an easy team to sweep. The Yankees went onto Arizona to win their first game of the series to rise to 5-0. The Bronx has been electric just one week into the season, as Soto has not been silent at the plate. Soto has ten hits in his first 24 at-bats with a .417 batting average.

He has one home run, four RBI, and five walks. Aside from his offense, Soto is also playing solid defense. He threw a great pitch at home plate in the season-opener to hold onto a one-run lead in the ninth inning. It’s certainly been an exciting week for Yankees fans. Let’s see if they can continue a hot streak as the season progresses. Inevitably, the standings could very well shift, but as of now, the Yankees are a hot team and, indeed, the team to look out for. Pitchers should undoubtedly put out their best stuff on the Yankees offense.

Early AL East Discussion

The Yankees have stood out but will need to continue if they want to keep up with the Baltimore Orioles, The Boston Red Sox, and The Blue Jays. They all have productive offensive players, but the Yankees certainly have the offensive advantage. Soto has been dynamite with his new team and has gelled offensively with his teammates.

Everyone else in the AL East will have to put out their best stuff if they want to spoil the Yankee’s success. It certainly will be a challenge, and the Yankees look like a team that has transformed from last season. Can they continue with their offensive success? We will have to watch and see. It will be more accurate to see where all these teams will be at the All-Star Break to get a better sense of all the teams. We are still early in the season, but the Yankees play like a winning team.
