Dave Dombrowski and the Detroit Tigers have come to terms on contracts with six of seven players who otherwise would be headed for salary arbitration. Friday’s deadline to get arbitration eligible players under contract saw Dombrowski sign pitchers Rick Porcello, Doug Fister and Phil Coke to one year deals. The same could be said for outfielders Austin Jackson and Brennan Boesch as well as catcher Alex Avila. For Jackson, he will reportedly receive $3.5 million dollars with Doug Fister netting himself $4 million and Alex Avila getting $2.95 million this upcoming season. doug fister settles with #tigers, $4M. — Jon Heyman (@JonHeymanCBS) January 18, 2013 doug fister settles with #tigers, $4M. — Jon Heyman (@JonHeymanCBS) January 18, 2013 alex avila signs for $2.95M. #tigers — Jon Heyman (@JonHeymanCBS) January 18, 2013 Rick Porcello got a reported to be at $5.1 million despite being the center of various trade rumors in recent weeks.
