Derek Jeter has never been a very vocal guy. He has always let his bat and glove do the talking. That worked in years past when guys like Paul O'Neill, Tino Martinez and Jim Leyritz were around to get up in teammates' grills. Now there's no one like that in there and Jeter has been exposed:

I always felt Jeter was overrated (mind you, from the perspective of a Red Sox fan), till I saw him hustle to first every single time, even when the out is a forgone conclusion. Thats commendable no matter what team you're on and its the type of example you would want to set. What else can you expect him to do as captain... shoot up his team with steroids?
