Los Angeles Angels' pitcher Tommy Hanson was scratched from 15 minutes before his scheduled start against the Detroit Tigers because of right forearm tightness. As reported by Alden Gonzalez and Jason Beck of, "Hanson warmed up in the bullpen before feeling the tightness and getting shut down. The 26-year-old right-hander had already missed nearly four weeks this season while on the bereavement list to deal with his stepbrother's death." Right handed pitcher Billy Buckner, a recent Triple-A call up, started in place of Hanson. Buckner is one option to replace Hanson in the rotation, should he be placed on the disabled list. Hanson has a career record of 49-34 with an earned run average of 3.72.  In 2013, he is 4-2 with an earned run average of 5.10 in 47 2/3 innings pitched.
