Bleacher Report:
Recently, Braves rookie pitcher Tommy Hanson struck out 11 San Fransisco Giant hitters in seven innings pitched. This made him 5-0 on the year with a 3.00 ERA with 36 strikeouts and a 1.27 WHIP. So after 7 starts, it got me thinking, is Tommy Hanson the next big Atlanta Braves pitcher.
As you most likely know, the Braves have a history of great pitchers. Greg Maddux, John Smoltz, Warren Spahn, Tom Glavine, Tim Hudson and so on.
At just 22 years old, he is 6'6" and 220 pounds. He bats and throws right, which about 75% of baseball players do.
His next probable start is against the Milwaukee Brewers on July 25th at 7:05 eastern time. I know I'll be keeping track on the game considering I am a Cubs Fan and hope the Brewers lose, and I want to see more of Tommy Hanson, just not against the Cubs.
