Torey Lovullo confirms no Drey Jameson in 2024
Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

With pitchers and catchers officially back in action, Diamondbacks’ manager Torey Lovullo confirmed that his squad will be without Drey Jameson in 2024, as reported by Dbacks host Jody Jackson.

Jameson, a former 1st round pick of the Diamondbacks in 2019, underwent Tommy John surgery in mid-September. The 26-year-old initially opted against the surgery, but after the rehab process proved ineffective, he changed his mind two months later.

In 2023, prior to heading to the injured reserve, Jameson allowed 15 earned runs in 40 innings, resulting in a 3.32 ERA. Drey started several games at the beginning of the season before transitioning into a mid-reliever role.

Throughout his career, encompassing the end of 2022 and the beginning of 2023, Jameson has amassed a 6-1 record and a 2.63 ERA. He has emerged as one of many young arms showing immense promise in the Diamondbacks bullpen.
