Torii Hunter is looking for a new home, and the free agent plans to make his decision on where he will play next season within the next two weeks, Mark Saxson of ESPNLosAngeles.com reports. The Tigers so far have been the most aggressive, offering Hunter a potential two-year deal with an everyday role. The Yankees have also shown serious interest, with the Rangers and Dodgers trailing behind. The Dodgers would probably be Hunter's first choice, as he owns a house in Orange County, Ca. and is good friends with Matt Kemp and Carl Crawford, but the team has told him he would not have an everyday role as the team does not plan to trade right fielder Andre Ethier. Back in July, Hunter said if he did not return to the Angels, he would only play for the Dodgers, Rangers or Yankees or would retire. Hunter who spent the last fiver seasons with the Angels hit .286/.352/.462 with 105 HR's, 432 RBI's and a 122 OPS+ in 2,993 plate appearances. This past season, he hit .313/.365/.451 with 16 home runs and 92 RBIs. Image taken by Keith Allison and used under the Creative Common License Agreement.
