TEAMS: Los Angeles Angels, Los Angeles Dodgers
Back in July, Torii Hunter mentioned that he wanted to return to the Angels next season or join the Yankees, Rangers or Dodgers. The Dodgers are no longer an option with an outfield of Matt Kemp Andre Ethier and Carl Crawford, but the Yankees and Rangers could potentially be options.
But Hunter is not shy about telling people where he wants to be next season as he told Alden Gonzalez of MLB.com that he would like to finish his career with the Angels. “I want to stay, everybody knows that.”
But the bringing Hunter back isn't so simple. The Angels already have Mike Trout in center field, Vernon Wells and a ton of money in left and speedy Peter Bourjos and Mark Trumbo potentially fighting for the final spot.
In 537 plate appearances, Hunter is sporting a .305/.358/.446 batting line with 15 home runs.
“For me, it's not about greed and getting all you can get,” Hunter said. “I've made good money. Now I just want to win. And I can see this team winning in the near future. ...

Mike Scioscia Interview with AngelsWin.com
Interview Conducted by David Saltzer, AngelsWin.com Senior Writer
What does it take to make a great leader? Where does one gain his/her main experience managing people, especially under pressure? Upon whom does one rely as a manager?
AngelsWin.com recently had the opportunity to ask these questions to the Angels manager, Mike Scioscia. In a rare opportunity, we asked about...
Angels, Santana are looking to finish strong
ANAHEIM, Calif. -- For all anybody knows, Ervin Santana might be nearing the end of his Angels tenure. There could be one more start on his schedule, maybe two.
If his career in an Angels uniform is indeed about to end, he can be soothed by the fact he's going out with his best stuff.
In a season of inconsistency and unmet expectations, Santana is finishing with a flourish...
Angels win to stay in wild-card hunt
The way things are going for the Los Angeles Angels, it's difficult for Jered Weaver to focus on the fact that he is one victory away from his first 20-win season in the majors.
Then again, the only reason the Angels still have a shot at a postseason berth is because their ace keeps winning. Weaver kept them within striking distance in the AL wild-card chase, posting his league...
Moreno: Scioscia, Dipoto will be back next season
Los Angeles Angels manager Mike Scioscia and general manager Jerry Dipoto will return next season, team owner Arte Moreno said Saturday. "Regardless of what happens the next 11 games, Mike Scioscia will 100 percent return," Moreno told MLB.com. "I have told him. He wants to come back, I want him to come back. He's been the manager of the Angels for 13 years....
For the Angels, it's about winning and waiting
ANAHEIM, Calif. After coming so far and playing so well down the stretch, it's almost a shame that the Angels' fate is not in their own hands.
They've become scoreboard watchers, attentive not only to their games but also to the daily fortunes of the Oakland A's and Baltimore Orioles. A win isn't a win unless the A's or Orioles lose, too.
But that's...
Bobby Grich, Clyde Wright & Mark Gubicza Asked: "How Do You Learn Best?"
By David Saltzer, AngelsWin.com Senior Writer
ANAHEIM, CA -- Everyone has a preferred learning style. Teachers talk about
audio-learners, visual-learners, and kinesthetic-learners: students who learn
best by hearing something, seeing something, or doing something. While some
people are multi-modal, most have one dominant learning style.
With that in mind, one interesting...

Mike Trout Could Win AL MVP Over Miguel Cabrera Based on Sabermetrics (Video)
As nearly every playoff race in the American League becomes closer, so does the MVP race between Angels outfielder Mike Trout and Tigers third baseman Miguel Cabrera. Going into Sunday's games, Cabrera is the clear favorite based on standard statistics. He leads the league in batting average, home runs and RBIs -- the Triple Crown categories. No one has won the Triple Crown since...
Game Recap 9/20/12: ErnestNOOO! - Rangers 3, Angels 1
To quote John McClane, "How can the same **** happen to the same guy twice?"
Aside from the fact that this game might very well spell the end of the Angels' season, the only thing that anyone is going to remember this game for is Mike Scioscia once again pulling Zack Greinke during a great start in favor of Ernesto Frieri. The same Ernesto Frieri who spoiled...
Game Recap 9/22/12 -- Teambuilding -- Angels 4 White Sox 2
This is a weird time of the season. Over the course of today I was routing for the Red Sox, Yankees and Mariners. This is the kind of thing that makes a Halo fan break out in hives. But in order for the Angels to make the playoffs, we all have to get a little dirty with our set of bedfellows. But non of it matters if the Angels don't take care of their own business. Tonight...
