The Toronto Blue Jays disappointing 2012 season was attributed to a tragic week in the middle of June when three of their starting five pitchers went down with serious injuries. The Blue Jays lost Kyle Drabek who suffered a ligament tear in his right elbow that eventually required Tommy John surgery. Next on the infirmary docket was rookie Drew Hutchison who succumbed to a sprained ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow. Hutchison initially attempted to rehab the injury but suffered a setback that also required Tommy John surgery.  To round out the injury tri-fecta Brandon Morrow suffered an oblique strain that shelved him for six weeks. Leading into the 2013 season the Blue Jays were hopeful that they had paid their injury dues in 2012 and the words Dr. James Andrew would not be uttered north of the border in 2013. So far so good on the Tommy John front however their pitching staff is still banged up, bruised and in shambles at the 35 game mark of the schedule. Potential ace ...
