After splitting a four game series with Tampa Bay, I thought the Toronto Blue Jays were back on the winning track. Boy! was I wrong.
The Blue Jays kicked off their three game series against the Baltimore Orioles on a losing note as they were shut out 4-0.
Thankfully, I had a cup of coffee beside me while watching this game. It helped me from falling to sleep. The majority of the game was so boring. The Blue Jays couldn’t generate any offense until the sixth inning.
In the seventh inning, the Jays had bases loaded with one out, but was unable to score a run.
Starting pitcher, J.A. Happ had a fairly good outing, giving up six hits, three earned runs, two walks, and struck out nine batters in five innings pitched.
The second game of the series was even worse. It was bad enough somebody decided open the roof at the Rogers Center on a rainy night in Toronto, but also the Jays got hammered 12-0. In the first two games of this series, the Jays were outscored 16-0. Terrible. Absol...
