The Kansas City Royals have reach agreement on a one-year contract with right-handed reliever Jonathan Broxton.
The 27-year-old Broxton was limited to 14 games with the Los Angeles Dodgers last season, going 1-2 with seven saves and a 5.68 ERA.
He is coming back from minor elbow surgery and will be looking to regain the former that made him one of baseball's top closers.
Royals second baseman Johnny Giavotella and pitcher Kelvin Herrera reached the Major Leagues this year, and now they'll have awards to commemorate how they did it.
