Plaschke, Thy Sweater Is Argyle:
I completed my third trade with Rhubarb Runner from the "I need to look this up every damn time" "é rayhahn, rayhahn". You can find our first deal here and the second trade here. I sent David some Twins - of course - highlighted by a new Joe Mauer and a Kirby Puckett jersey relic with a sweet pinstripe. My end of the deal brought with it two new relics for my collection. The first is a sweet Russell Martin 2008 UD SP Legendary Cuts Destination Stardom jersey swatch, which makes for a nice addition to my Martin PC. I also have the 2009 version of this card. And finally, this cool dual relic from 2002 Fleer Platinum of one of the best offensive players in franchise history. I absolutely love Fleer Platinum from any year. I'm fairly positive this is my first Sheff hit, and it features a piece of his Dodgers road greys (even though the card lists Gary as a Brave, the back specifically states the jersey piece came from his time in LA) as well as a piece of a game-us...

In two games of a five game series the Yankees scored nine and 10 runs. Those should be easy wins. That means they needed to win just one close game out of three other games in the series, but they couldn’t do it.
What happened? Who is to blame? Let’s run down the list of some of the bigger culprits.
Joe Girardi: His pitching changes yesterday were a lightning rod for criticism...
Well, Yankees fans. Here we are again. The curtain has dropped on another season and unfortunately things didn't end up going our way. Mission 28 will have to wait another year.As I was getting condolences today from friends and family members on the loss, I tried to explain that it actually wasn't that bad. Sure the loss hurts but it's a manageable pain. I think...
New York Yankees pitcher C.C. Sabathia may be losing a bargaining chip if he does plan on using his opt-out clause. See Ken Davidoff of Newsday had a great article talking about C.C. and the opt out possibility but Sabathia felt inclined to respond.
@CC_Sabathia: Missing the Bronx already,my daughter just asked me “can we go to Yankee game” I love NYC @Newsday by @KenDavidoff...
A Rod isn't faring so well at the racetrack, either.
Yes, there is A Rod (no hyphen) the horse. Unlike A-Rod the Yankee, this colt's season isn't over although he sure could use a win.
The 3-year-old, named in honor of Alex Rodriguez, will be entered to run Thursday at Belmont Park in a $20,000 claiming race.
''The owner is a big Yankee fan and named the horse...
Contract negotiations between the Yankees and General Manager Brian Cashman are going smoothly, according to sources, and could be concluded with a new deal in the week ahead.
Most times I love when I am right, but not in the case of the 2011 New York Yankees. I hate that I was dead on in my assessment of this team. As we all know the Yankees were eliminated by the inferior Detroit Tigers in game 5 of the ALDS. I said all year they were going to lose in the first round of the playoffs, and sure enough they did. The thing that plagued the...
Speaking with the media after the Yankees' 3-2 loss in Game 5, Alex Rodriguez talks about the pain of losing at home in a game he believes they should have won.
Can you help us identify any of the fans who were there to see Alex Rodriguez leave after striking out in the last game of the Yankees' season?
