CLEVELAND (AP) -- Ryan Raburn tied a career high with four hits, Trevor Bauer allowed one hit in five strong innings for his first American League win, and the Cleveland Indians beat the Philadelphia Phillies 6-0 on Wednesday night.
Raburn, coming off back-to-back two-homer games, drove in two runs with a single in the third and a double in the fifth. He has 12 hits in his last 14 at-bats, a stretch that began Sunday.
The Indians have won a season-high four straight games in which they have outscored their opponents 39-5.
Bauer (1-1), called up from Triple-A Columbus before the game, walked six while striking out five and combined with four relievers for the shutout.
Cliff Lee (2-2), pitching against the Indians for the first time since Cleveland dealt him to Philadelphia during the 2009 season, allowed five runs in six innings.

If the Philadelphia Phillies fall out of contention in the National League East as the summer approaches, left-handed starting pitcher Cliff Lee could find himself as a prime trade target of teams with playoff aspirations. Beyond Lee, Jim Salisbury of CSN Philly notes that the Phillies could also make veterans including Jonathan Papelbon, Jimmy Rollins, Chase Utley, Ryan Howard...

Philadelphia Phillies ace Cliff Lee if fed up, and he’s not taking it anymore. The Phillies are one of the more disappointing teams in baseball thus far, sitting at 13-16 and only ahead of 4 teams in the National League (Cubs, Padres, Mets, and Marlins, who they defeated today). For a veteran team that has won a World Series within the last 5 years, it’s...
Even outside of baseball, April is a month commonly described as a prelude to better things—showers begetting flowers and all that. So, for all our nail-biting over the Indians’ rather lifeless kickoff to the 2013 campaign, it can’t be too surprising to see things starting to balance out—more than a little bit—in the past few days.
For the sake of avoiding the oft-discussed...

Cleveland Indians super-sub Ryan Raburn, who was 4-for-5 on Wednesday night, is only the fourth major-league player in the last 75 years to have at least 11 hits and four home runs in a three-game span, per Elias Sports Bureau. The others do so were Duke Snider (1955, Dodgers), Kirby Puckett (1987, Twins) and Shawn Green (2002, Dodgers).
Raburn is also the first major-league player...
Trevor Bauer’s performance last night was just the 98th time in MLB history that a starting pitcher had the following stats:
– At least 5.0 IP
– No runs allowed
– At least 6 walks
– Max of 1 hit
Tampa Bay’s Matt Moore had a similar such performance on April 10 this season. No pitchers accomplished this feat in 2012.
Specific to the Indians, when with the Colorado Rockies...
While he isn't a household name, Ryan Raburn is leading the charge for the surging Cleveland Indians.
The Indians try to extend their winning streak to five for the first time in two years Friday night when they open a three-game set against the visiting Minnesota Twins.
After back-to-back two-homer games, Raburn had his second four-hit contest in three days and drove in another...

Tonight the Indians face an old friend.Five years ago, lefty Cliff Lee was enjoying a career season with the Indians and broke through as one of the games best pitchers when he won the 2008 American League Cy Young award. But less than a year after winning the award ,the Indians traded him to the Philadelphia Phillies for a package of four prospects...
The Cleveland Indians have recalled starting pitcher Trevor Bauer so he could get the spot-start Wednesday. To make room for him on the active roster, the Indians sent down pitcher Nick Hagadone.

According to Jim Salisbury of CSNPhilly.com, the Phillies are still at it. They’ve made a few calls to Miami in an attempt to nab Giancarlo Stanton and will continue to pursue the 23-year-old rightfielder.
Now, this should come as no surprise. Twenty-nine other teams should be doing the same thing, as he’s clearly the best young power hitter in baseball, when healthy. Ruben Amaro...

Added together he has gone 7-8 with four home runs, 7 RBI and five runs scored. A fairly decent...
