The reputation and character of former New York Mets outfielder Lenny Dykstra is hit hard in a new book written by one of his former employees, as detailed by the New York Post.Dykstra, who helped lead the Mets to a World Series title in 1986, has suffered a huge fall from grace since retiring from baseball. He is currently in prison on multiple charges including grand theft auto and bankruptcy fraud. The book, written by former employee Christopher Frankie, who served as the editor of a financial newsletter called The Player's Club, reveals several disturbing, disgusting, and otherwise troubling allegations against Dykstra.Among the more notable ones include:+ Dykstra had a terrible track record for paying his employees on time. He owed so much back pay that employees were relucatant to quit for fear that they would never see their earnings. At one point, Frankie claims that he received just one check in three months.+ Frankie wrote that Dykstra's idea of fun was to "leave a large amount of feces in the toilet...so he could hear the shrieks of the hotel's grossed-out maids."+ He once told a female executive, in a meeting, that he had “impregnated three women in the same night and made them all get abortions.”+ He referred to Tiger Woods and Derek Jeter as “darkies”, Willie Mays as a “field n***er”, and Venus and Serena Williams as “baboons.”+ He tried to get an employee to falsify a document so he could get access to his son Cutter’s money.+ There are additional details about his penchant for placing Craigslist ads and then exposing himself. One woman said that Dykstra grabbed her by the neck and pushed her head down to his groin, and told her she was going to see God.
