The PED train continues on, and the opinion of Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim center fielder Mike Trout might be one of the more relevant opinions out there. The 22-year old Trout is one of the best players in baseball, and also a guy who grew up watching players break records on a regular basis during the steroid era. As a current player and someone who was a fan of the game during this hotly contested time, his opinion about PEDs has a dual-pronged mindset. And what does Trout think about PED users? On WFAN in New York on Monday morning, here's what Trout had to say, courtesy of ESPN. "To me, personally, I think you should be out of the game if you get caught. It takes away from the guys that are working hard every day and doing it all-natural." Sure, it might be the popular, politically correct answer, but good for Trout for coming out strongly anti-PED. Trout wasn't on the Angels' 40-man roster until July of 2011, subjecting him to whatever the hell testing MLB wanted to throw at him, including HGH testing before it was agreed upon at the major league level for the 2013 season. Minor league players can also be suspended for marijuana usage, which isn't prohibited at the major league level. There's obviously no guarantee that Trout is clean, but for someone who has been subject to as much testing as he has throughout his career, his perspective is a welcome one. [ESPN] [follow]
