Our good friends over at the MLB Network made sure to pass on the video embed to us this morning of their interview conducted yesterday on the network of rookie sensations Bryce Harper and Mike Trout who spoke about their tremendous season and their All-Star experience.
Check out the video interview below.

During a recent interview, Nationals phenom Bryce Harper discussed the "Clown question, bro" incident and explained why he was so perturbed by the reporter's inquiry.
Up above: Bryce Harper meets the media crush at today's All Star Game media session. That's Strasburg at the table behind him; and Gio at the table behind Strasburg. Harper set the bar pretty low for himself:
"I'm pretty terrible in All-Star Games. I don't know what they're going to see from me. Aflac All-American, I was 0-for-5 with four Ks. [Under...

Arguably the most memorable moment from the 2012 MLB All-Star Game came from Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper.
In the top of the fifth inning, Texas Rangers Mike Napoli was at the plate and hit a long fly ball into left field.
Harper appeared ready to make the catch but ended up losing the ball in the lights:

Only two players in Major League Baseball history have won both the Rookie of the Year and MVP awards in the same season. Of course Boston fans know one of them: outfielder Fred Lynn in his memorable 1975 campaign. The other was Seattle’s Ichiro Suzuki in 2001. Current Los Angeles Angels rookie outfielder Mike Trout could make it a trio as he is now the 5-2 co-favorite at Bovada...
It's Bryce Harper hour at the Thigh! We just showed you the ridiculous Under Armour shoes Bryce Harper that will be wearing at tonight's MLB All-Star game, and now, we bring you pictures of the 19-year-old's customized Mercedes-Benz, which features a glowing bat rack in his trunk:Why the bat rack? Pro Motorsports' owner Jim Lewis, the man who designed the car, said...
The MLB All-Star Game is often -- and rightfully -- hailed as the greatest yearly collection of talent in a baseball stadium. It's also a yearly showcase for the superstars of the game to showcase their flashy shoes, as many of them are not shy about wearing busier and more colorful spikes than the classic black design. So on Tuesday night, when baseball fans watched Pablo Sandoval...
Mike Trout (credits below) Here is a look at my mid season rookie award winners. Qualifications for batters were 100 AB's and pitchers 10+ games pitched. Start the debate ! C- Wilin Rosario (Colorado) 14 HR's in just 190 AB's. Projects into a 40+ full season number. 1B- Jordan Pacheco (Colorado). I like Rizzo here but he doesnt qualify under my parameters. Pacheco...
"Look grandpa! Baseball!"
And so, 19 year old Bryce Harper is apparently glued to 80 40 year old Chipper Jones' side on the top step of the NL dugout during the All-Star Game. That's a good thing.
Interestingly, during his pregame speech to the NL All-Stars Chipper Jones revealed that Harper nearly killed one of his kids with a line drive during BP. Still...

The first half of the baseball season has come and gone, and so we pour out some of our malt beverage and bow our heads in silence in honor of the eighty-five or so games that have passed for each team. Or we could just pick some mid-season awards.

When Mark Trumbo is smashing line drives into the alleys and Mike Trout is circling the bases with reckless abandon, it's tough to remember when the Los Angeles Angels were in trouble this season because Albert Pujols was struggling.
Not only is the Angels' $240 million first baseman rounding into fearsome form, the youngsters in his lineup are producing All-Star seasons...
Does it get any better than this video (via CSN Washington.com) of Derek Jeter and ex-Nat Adam Dunn gushing about Bryce Harper? Well, yes, it does. But, still, it's pretty cool to hear Jeter talk about Harper. Dunn, too. Won't be long before Harper hits one up into the third deck at Nationals Park like Dunn used to, you know?
"You know what I like about him...
Up above, Bryce Harper, Stephen Strasburg, and Gio Gonzalez, as seen on TV during All-Star Game pregame intros. Hey! Stras didn't tip his cap!? More importantly, what's the over/under on Nats All-Stars next year? Four?
And how about in 2015, when the All-Star Game is at Nationals Park?

Just an obligatory annual post while I'm obligatorily watching the All-Star Game: [platoonadvantage]
American League MVP: Mike Trout
It's worth noting that this is all a product of approximately the last three weeks: he's been very good (at least) since day one, but starting with his 4-for-4 game on June 19, Trout hit .389/.432/.634 to close out the first half. He leads...
