Colorado Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzki pranked MLB Fan Cave finalist Shaun Kippins at the Rockies spring training facility in Arizona.

Tulowitzki gave Kippins his Evo Shield wrist guard to hold while he stepped away for a minute to take care of some team business. While Tulowitzki was gone, Kippins put the wrist guard in a plastic bag, and then one of the Rockies coaches offered to take the bag from him. When Tulowitzki returned, he pretended to be really upset with Kippins for giving away his wrist guard, even cursing at him.

Kippins was in a real panic wondering what to do when Tulowitzki finally let him off the hook. Kippins' reaction was priceless as he took a deep breath as if to say "Oh, thank God!"

As if that wasn’t hard enough work, Troy Tulowitzki and the Rockies had to go and screw with finalist Shaun Kippins. As you saw in the video above, Tulowitzki was talking...

Player Profile #4: Troy Tulowitzki | SS | COL

Knock Troy Tulowitzki for his injuries, but he’s proven that he’s the game’s best shortstop. Sure he may not steal as many bases as he used to, but when he chooses to run he usually succeeds (80% success rate). Last year he cut down his swinging strike percentage (4.5%) for the third straight season and he continues to draw walks at an above average rate (9.7 BB%). Over the...

Where have you gone Marco Scutaro? Our infield turns to you

I was just as surprised as anyone when I heard the news that Marco Scutaro had been traded. It had been pretty clear after last season that Lowrie wasn't the answer so not bringing him back was an obvious choice - but the Scutaro thing really left me puzzled. Marco wasn't going to wow anybody with the glove and yeah his arm left a lot to be desired. But the guy could hit...

2012 MLB Preview: The Colorado Rockies

Look at this man. See how he brings his massive intellect to bear on his lineup card, searching with all his might for any small advantage.  Few people in history have been so universally praised for their tactical insight as this fellow. Patton? Perhaps. Sun Tzu? Maybe. But it is only names like these that deserve to call themselves peers of the man you see before you. Yes, this...

A photo obtained by TMZ shows Colorado Rockies mascot Dinger the Triceratops getting in on the not-played-out-at-all craze of Tebowing along with some Rockies players somewhere in Phoenix, Ariz., close to where the team holds its Cactus League-based training camp in nearby Scottsdale. This isn’t the first time the mascot has been captured on film [...]

LeMahieu flashes leather around infield

The fifth starter's job isn't the only battle going on here at Rockies Spring Training. The last few bench spots on the 25-man roster are up for grabs. Charlie Blackmon seems to have the inside track on the 4th outfielder job, but the team is also going to carry a backup infielder. It's early in camp, but that job very well could go to D.J. LeMahieu.
