Minnesota Twins first baseman Justin Morneau has not had any concussion-related issues this offseason.
Twins general manager Terry Ryan said there have been no "red flags" regarding Morneau, who missed the second half of the 2010 season with a concussion and was shut down for the final month last season after he had a recurrence of those symptoms.
Morneau is recovering from wrist surgery following an injury-filled season. He also underwent procedures to remove a cyst on his left knee and bone spurs in his right foot.
The 2006 American League MVP had an injury-riddled season that limited him to 69 games. He went on the disabled list with a wrist issue and also underwent surgery to remove a pinched nerve in his neck.
He has played just 150 games over the last two seasons, and wound up batting just .227 with four homers and 30 RBIs this year
